
Cam Brown’s 3-run homer capped a five run eighth inning as the Hays Larks rally from an 8-1 deficit to beat the El Dorado Broncos 11-8 to complete a three-game weekend sweep at Larks Park last night.
Sloan Solia’s drew a bases-loaded walk to pull the Larks within a run then MacKenzie Handel tied the game with a sacrifice fly to deep left field. The Larks scored five in the sixth to pull within two.
Malcolm Purdy picks up the win, throwing a scoreless eighth inning. Michael Burchett gets his third save of the series and fourth straight, working a 1-2-3 ninth.
Cam Brown finishes 3-for-4 with four RBI’s and two runs scored as the Larks win their fourth straight league game and are now 19-11 and 13-9 in the Jayhawk League where they’ve moved within a game of first place Haysville.
The Larks are off today before opening a key three-game set in Haysville tomorrow night.
