The Hays Police Department conducted 23 traffic stops and received nine animal calls on Friday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two reports of theft on Friday. The first report of theft and burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 1700 block of Agnes Drive. The alleged theft occurred between Sunday August 26th at 8:00AM and Friday August 31st at 6:00AM. Officers also investigated a report of shoplifting in the 1900 block of Vine Street at 9:23 AM Friday.
Domestic Disturbance: The Hays PD received a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of West 8th Street in the early morning hours Friday. Where officers arrived on scene they begin to investigate a report of domestic battery in connection with the disturbance.
Vehicle Accidents: Officers responded to three motor vehicle accident reports on Friday. The first accident occurred in the 2800 block of Hall Street just after 2:00PM. Another motor vehicle accident involving an animal was reported at 15th and Milner Street and the final accident was reported in the 1400 block of West 43rd Street Friday afternoon.
DUI: The Hays PD conducted one driving under the influence stop on Friday. The stop was conducted in the 1200 block of Vine Street just after 11:50 Friday night.
