The Hays High boys soccer team entered the McPherson Invitational without a win, now their in the title game. The Indians advanced following a 4-0 shutout of the TMP-Marian Monarchs Thursday in McPherson.
Hays scored all of their goals in the second half. Shawn Herman broke the scoreless tie at the 38:01 mark. The Indians also got goals from Kellen Griffin, Lane Clark and Jordan Windholz, who also had an assist.
Hays outshout the Monarchs 13-2.
The Indians will now play McPherson in Saturday’s title match at 2pm. The Bullpups blanked Salina South 7-0.
TMP-Marian plays the Cougars for third-place at noon Saturday.
