A Friday Night trip to Larned didn’t turn out well for the TMP football teams as they lose 31-21 to the Indians. TMP led most of the way through the first half until Larned scored with just over 4 seconds in the second quarter to take an 18-14 lead at the half.
The Indians scored first in the third quarter and led by 10 until TMP inched to within 3 points with a Nick Schmidt touchdown with a little over 3 minutes to go in the 3rd Quarter. Larned would answer right back on their next play from scrimmage with a 66 yard touchdown run and took a 31-21 lead late in the 3rd Quarter which proved too much for the Monarchs to overcome.
TMP is now 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Mid-Central Activities Association. It’s homecoming next week for TMP as they host Ellsworth at Lewis Field Stadium.
