TOPEKA, Kan. –Secretary of Labor Karin Brownlee announced today she has appointed Michael Copeland as Deputy Secretary of the Kansas Department of Labor.

Copeland will officially take over this role on October 1.

He has served as Mayor of Olathe since 2001 and previously served as president of Security Savings Bank.
