Showers and Thunderstorms Possible Today and Tomorrow

Showers and thunderstorms will move across much of southwest Kansas through the morning hours today.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected to form later in the afternoon just about anywhere across west central and southwest Kansas. Chances for thunderstorms will continue into tonight, Friday, and Friday night until the jet stream responsible shifts east into the lower Mississippi Valley region.

Another weak disturbance will provide a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms Sunday. Temperatures will be near average for this time of year with a warm-up into the lower-mid 80s by early next week.
