Friday’s Police Activity Log

The Hays Police Department conducted 21 traffic stops and received eight animal calls on Friday, according to the police activity log.

Driving Under the Influence: Hays Police Officers conducted four driving under the influence stops on Friday. The first two stops were conducted in the early morning hours on Friday. The first was reported in the 100 block of West 7th Street at 12:14. Officers conducted drug related offenses in connection with the DUI stop. The second DUI stop was conducted in the 1100 block of Centennial Boulevard at 6:05AM. Officers also conducted a DUI stop in the 200 block of West 8th Street Friday afternoon just after 2:00PM. The final DUI stop was conducted in the 600 block of Vine Street Friday night.

Battery: The Hays Police Department conducted three battery investigations on Friday. Officers investigated two reports of aggravated battery Friday evening. The first aggravated battery was reported at 2nd and Elm Street Friday night at 10:50. The second aggravated battery was reported in the 100 block of East 12th Friday evening between 11:25 and 11:31. Officers also investigated two criminal threat reports. The first was investigated in connection with a battery report in the 500 block of West 16th Street at 6:42PM.

Theft: Hays PD investigated three theft reports on Friday. Officers responded to the 2500 block of Vine Street for a report of a theft at 2:41PM. Shoplifting was reported in the 4300 block of Vine Street at 4:40PM. The final theft was reported at 1500 block of US 183 Alt. Highway. The alleged theft occurred between 2:00 and 3:00PM

Civil Dispute: Officers responded to the 500 block of Main Street Friday morning, just after 9:30 for the report of a civil dispute.

Lewd and Lascivious Behavior: The Hays Police Department investigated a lewd and lascivious behavior case in the 1200 block of Vine Street Friday morning. The alleged incident occurred around 3:00AM.

Motor Vehicle Accident: Officers responded to two motor vehicle accidents on Friday afternoon. The first accident occurred in the 3900 block of 8th Street. The alleged accident involved private property Friday between 12:30 and 12:45PM. The final motor vehicle accident occurred in the 300 block of Elm Street at 9:30PM Friday.
