The Hays Police Department conducted 18 traffic stops and received eight animal calls on Wednesday, according to the police activity log.

Theft/Burglary: The Hays Police Department began investigations into three theft and one burglary report on Wednesday. The first theft was reported in the 1200 block of East 27th Street. The alleged theft occurred Monday between 3:00 and 8:30PM. Officers investigated an alleged theft in the 1800 block of East 27th Street Wednesday evening at 6:46. The final theft was reported in the 1100 block of Cody Avenue at 10:29PM. Officers also investigated the report of a burglary of a Vehicle in the 1700 block of Volga Drive on Tuesday.

Drug Offense: Officers investigated drug related offenses in the 1400 block of East 29th Street Wednesday morning at 12:54.

Pusuit/Chase: Hays PoliceOfficers conducted a pursuit/chase in the early morning hours Wednesday in the 500 block of Riley Street. The alleged incident occurred between 1:52 and 1:56AM.

Motor Vehicle Accident: The Hays Police Department responded to four motor vehicle accidents on Wednesday. The first accident, involving private property, was report in the 1600 block of Main Street Wednesday morning at 7:52. The second accident was reported in the 1900 block of Vine Street between 10:50 and 10:55 Wednesday morning. Another accident was reported in the 2600 block of Vine Street at 1:55PM and the final accident reported to the Hays PD was in the 700 block of Elm Street Wednesday afternoon at 3:57.
