Hays has been awarded a membership in Union Pacific’s Train Town USA Registry as part of the railroad’s year-long 150th anniversary celebration.

Representatives from Union Pacific will be in town to present City of Hays and Hays Area Chamber of Commerce officials with a Train Town USA resolution and signage. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, October 16 at 5 p.m. in the Union Pacific Park located in Historic Downtown Hays. The public is invited to attend.
