The Hays Police Department conducted 19 traffic stops and received nine animal calls on Thursday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: Officers investigated two theft cases and one burglary case on Thursday. The burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 2700 block of Colonial Street Thursday morning at 9:55AM. The two thefts were reported in connection with a civil dispute in the 1100 block of East 22nd Street. The first incident was reported at 9:20AM and second was reported at 10:11AM.

Civil Dispute: Officers also investigated a civil dispute in the 2900 block of Hillcrest Drive at 9:20AM.

Drug Offenses: The Hays PD investigated one report of drug related offenses in the 700 block of West 12th Street at 12:51AM Thursday.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of East 13th Street Thursday morning at 1:33. Officers investigated the driver for driving under the influence in connection with the traffic stop.

Motor Vehicle Accident: The Hays PD responded to two motor vehicle accidents on Thursday. The first accident was reported at 8th and Ash Street at 2:58 Thursday afternoon. The second accident was reported in the 700 block of Vine Street at 5:42PM.
