Ellis County is working with the Ellis Industrial Development Group to try to come to a resolution on the future of the county shop building in Ellis. County Administrator Greg Sund says conducting a Brownfields assessment study for contamination may move the process along.

The commission agreed to apply for a grant to do the assessment to determine if there is any contamination on the site and what the source is.
