LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP)— Brock Berglund, an incoming freshman quarterback with the Kansas Jayhawks, has been charged with 3rd degree assault in Colorado. Berglund is scheduled to appear at a pre-trial conference in Douglas County, Colorado. The complaint was filed on June 24th.According to eyewitnesses, Berglund allegedly came to the defense of his girlfriend after she was allegedly being harassed. Alcohol is not believed to be involved in the matter.
Berglund has made off-season headlines by wavering about when he would come to campus in Lawrence. 3rd degree assault is a Class 1 Misdemeanor in Colorado.
