The lobbying firm now representing the City of Hays met with the city commission last week to discuss their services and what they are expecting in the 2013 legislative session.

Don Smith with Pinegar, Smith and Associates says one of the challenges will be the lack of experience with 70 members of the House having served two years or less.

Smith and his partner John Pinegar say another challenge will be the lack of rural representation. Seventy percent of the Senate and 72 percent of the House are from urban areas.
