Fort Hays State held Central Missouri without a field goal for 12 minutes, racing out to a 34-1 lead and cruise to a 95-50 victory over the Jennies Wednesday night at Gross Coliseum. The victory improves the No. 17 Lady Tigers to 7-0 on the season while handing the No. 23 Jennies their first loss of the season.
Central Missouri missed their first 12 shots and turned the ball over 17 times in the first half as FHSU built a 47-15 lead at the half and would lead by as many as 49 in the second half.
Fort Hays State shoots 57-percent from the floor including 7-for-13 from 3-point range. Central hit on just 31-percent.
Kate Lehman led four Lady Tigers on double-figures with a game-high 24 points and 11 rebounds. Kate Edwards scored 14, Tera Inglesbee added 13 and Melissa Nelson 10.
The Lady Tigers play at Missouri Western Saturday afternoon.
