Several Christmas Activities Going On In Hays This Weekend

Hays Public Library Frost Fest Events today:
10:00 a.m. – Breakfast with Santa
2:00 p.m. – Cookie Decorating
3:00 p.m. – Holiday Student Recital
4:00 p.m. – Gingerbread Men
4-6:00 p.m. – Hot Cocoa Bar in the Adult Department Gallery

The 12th Annual Illuminated Parade with the theme of “Candy Cane Lane” will take place tonight at 5:30pm, traveling from 17th street to 4th street on Main Street in Hays. More information can be found at Downtownhays.com or on the FrostFest-Historic Downtown Hays Facebook page.

Christmas Past at Historic Fort Hays will go on again tonight, 1472 Hwy 183 Alt, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m Experience an old-fashioned Christmas at the Fort. Sample cookies, hot spiced cider and hot fried apples. Enjoy Christmas carols and horse-drawn wagon rides. Admission is free.

The Hays Community Theater presents “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” tonight at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00pm at the TMP High School Performing Arts Center, 1701 Hall St., Hays. Tickets are $7.00 and available by calling 785.259.4605

Other Events:

The Annual Christmas Crib Display of the “Little Town of Bethlehem” at St. Boniface Church in Vincent will again be open for visitors on the weekends of December 8th & 9th, 15th & 16th, 22nd & 23rd and Christmas day. Hours are Noon to 5:00PM. This is the 85th year that the “Christmas Crib” has been assembled and all visitors are welcome.

The Annual Cathedral Christmas Concert  will be hosted by The St. Fedelis Church in Victoria on Sunday with 2 performances, one at 3:00pm and again at 6:30pm. The Fort Hays State University Choral Music Department and various other community choirs as well as guest performances will join in this spirit filled occasion. Free admission.
