The Hays Police Department conducted 39 traffic stops and received four animals over the weekend, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated nine theft reports over the weekend. Two of the reports were shoplifting in the 4300 block of Vine Street on Saturday. The first theft was reported on Thursday evening in the 2900 block of Barclay Drive. The theft allegedly occurred between November 23rd and Thursday evening. Another theft was reported Saturday in the 1300 block of Lawrence Drive. The theft allegedly occurred between Friday evening at 5:30 and Saturday afternoon at 2:00. Saturday a theft was reported in the 2700 block of Hall Street at 3:54 p.m. There were three theft reports on Sunday. The first was reported in the 400 block of West 12th Street. The second was reported, in connection with a simple battery report in the 800 block of Elm Street. The final theft was reported in the 2700 block of Indian Trail Sunday afternoon between 12:00 and 1:00.

Burglary: Officers investigated two burglary reports on Sunday. The first was reported as a vehicle burglary in the 1600 block of Milner Street on Sunday. The alleged burglary occurred between November 1st and Sunday at 3:59 p.m. The second burglary was in connection with the report of criminal trespassing in the 2900 block Willow Street Sunday between 1:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Drug Offenses: The Hays PD investigated a pair of drug offenses over the weekend. The first was reported in the 1300 block of 40 Highway at 10:06 Friday evening. Officers investigated a contempt of court case in connection with the drug case. Officers also investigated a drug offense in the 2900 block of Vine Street at 1:17 a.m.

Civil Dispute: Officers investigated two civil dispute reports on Friday. The first was reported in the 100 block of West 12th Street Friday morning at 11:18. The second civil dispute was reported in the 3500 block of Canal Boulevard at 9:04 Friday evening.

Disturbance: The Hays Police Department investigated a fight and disorderly conduct report in connection with disturbance report in the 200 block of West 10th Street Saturday morning at 1:31.

Driving Under the Influence: Officers conducted two driving under the influence stops over the weekend. The first stop was conducted in the 100 block of East 6th Street at 6:25 p.m. Saturday and the second was conducted Sunday morning at 1:15 in the 400 block of West 6th Street.

Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays PD responded to seven motor vehicle accidents over the weekend.
