The Hays Eagles Senior Legion baseball team fell behind early and loses 14-4 in a 7 inning run-rule game in the first round of the “AAA” state tournament in Leavenworth Wednesday afternoon.

The Falcons score four in the second and built a 7-0 lead after three innings and were up 12-0 before the Eagles scored four in the sixth on a pair of 2-run homers from Hayden Hutchison and Riley Kaus.

Hutchison takes the loss, giving up seven runs on ten hits over three innings to drop to 5-5.

The Eagles are now 28-17 and will play Thursday morning at 9am in an elimination game which you can hear on KAYS (1400-AM).
