Riley County police responded to an accident in the 5900 block of Anderson Avenue early Saturday.  Upon arrival authorities said they learned a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle and was found deceased.

The accident is under investigation. Troopers from the Kansas Highway Patrol’s accident reconstruction team were called to assist RCPD officers.

The identify of the fatality victim has not yet been released.

During the on-scene investigation Anderson Avenue from 69th to Scenic Drive was closed for approximately four hours.
