Hays Junior Legion Stays Alive At “A” State

The Hays Eagles Junoir Legion lost 13-0 to Sedgwick at the "A" state tournament but rallied to beat the Salina Eagles 6-5 to stay alive Thursday.

The Hays Eagles Junior American Legion is still alive a the “A” state tournament in Salina. The Junior Eagles lost 13-0 in a game called after four innings by run rule to Sedgwick this morning but came back to beat the Salina Eagles 6-5, scoring two in bottom of the seventh.

The Junior Legion will now play Clearwater in a rematch of their first-round game Friday morning at 10am. The Eagles rallied for a 3-2 win the first time. If they win, they face the Salina Hawks at noon.
