As Ellis County starts looking toward building the 2014 budget, the subsidized agencies will be scheduled for budget presentations. Commissioner Swede Holmgren says the county needs to look very closely at what it funds.

The county already has sent a letter to these agencies preparing them for the tight budget the county is facing.

The commission Monday night held their reorganization meeting, and Dean Haselhorst was named chair. New Commissioner Barbara Wasinger is vice chair.
