Billy Butler hit a three-run home run and drove in four as the Kansas City Royals took a 6-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles in the second of game of their three-game set at Kauffman Stadium.

Alex Gordon went 3-for-6 with two doubles and two runs scored while Alcides Escobar went 3-for-4 with a two-run triple to break a 1-1 tie in the second. Manuel Pina had two hits including a double a run scored in his major league debut at catcher.

Luke Hochevar picks up his career-best eighth win, giving up just one earned run on four hits with a walk and seven strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings.
