The Hays Police Department conducted seven traffic stops and received five animal calls on Thursday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two theft reports on Thursday. The first theft report occurred in the 1500 block of East 17th Street. The alleged theft occurred between January 7th and January 14th. The second theft was reported in the 100 block of West 12th Street on Thursday afternoon. The alleged theft occurred between May 5th, 2012 and Thursday afternoon at 2:44.

Drug Offenses: Officers responded to the report of an unwanted person in the 1000 block of Elm Street at 1:59 Thursday morning. Officers investigated a drug related offense in connection with the unwanted person.

Driving Under the Influence: The Hays PD conducted one driving under the influence stop in the early morning hours Thursday. The stop was conducted in the 700 block of Fort Street.

Motor Vehicle Accident: Police Officers responded to three motor vehicle accidents on Thursday. One of the accidents were a hit and run in the 100 block of Ash Street. The accident occurred between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Thursday.
