The annual Indian Call winter dance was Saturday night at Hays High School. At halftime of the basketball game on Friday night seniors Derek Drees and Maddie Peters were crowned King and Queen, as selected by a vote of the students.
Among the 12 Indian Call candidates, two others also received a lot of attention during Friday’s festivities. Twins Connor and Courtney Hess were the first brother and sister duo anyone can remember being selected for such distinction
The Hess Twins, pictured below with their parents, have been attending school in Hays since 5th grade. According to a video from the Hays High web site, Connor plans to attend New York University next fall and Courtney is deciding between Kansas State and Colorado State University. Either way she will be quite a distance from her twin brother.
