Road maintenance on a stretch of Highway 40 in Ellis County is underway.  Crews started Monday morning at 280^th Avenue, working east for 6 miles to Cathedral Avenue.  Traffic is reduced to one lane within the work area.  The project is scheduled to be complete by Thursday evening.
