Hays Police Chief Don Scheibler spoke to Hays Post late Wednesday afternoon. He and his staff had noticed residents beginning to arrive home from work and parking in designated snow routes.  With the Winter Storm  Traffic Emergency, it is unlawful to park any vehicle on a snow route. Please look at the map and please park elsewhere.

The emergency designation will remain in effect until the city manager determines it is no longer warranted.
