There were now real big surprises as the Kansas City Chiefs released their depth chart in advance of their pre-season opener Friday at home against Tampa Bay. Thomas Jones is listed as the starting running back over Jamaal Charles, Tyler Palko is the No. 2 quarterback over rookie Ricky Stanzi and Dexter McCluster is listed as a wide receiver. Coach Todd Haley says not to read too much into it, especially in the preseason.
