Even though the storm is over, Kansas Department of Transportation workers will be monitoring road conditions throughout the night.
KDOT supervisors say they won’t be treating every road like they did during the storm, but they will be looking for slick areas, and doing spot treatments.
They say you should plan extra time if you need to travel, and watch for areas that could be especially dangerous, like bridges.
“We’re kind of in a wait and see mode right now. we’ll keep monitoring the weather forecasts and the road conditions and the pavement temperatures and act accordingly,” said George Dockery, KDOT.
Please look at the KDOT road conditions map and stay tuned to Eagle radio and Hays Post for the latest on the winter weather.
