Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated three theft reports between Saturday morning and Sunday evening. The first theft was reported at 2:48 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West 6th Street. The second theft was reported in the 200 block of West 8th Street on Saturday evening. The alleged theft occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Saturday. The first theft was reported as a burglary in the 400 block of Walnut Street Sunday morning. The theft allegedly occurred between Saturday evening at 8:00 and 2:30 Sunday morning.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the 3600 block of Vine Street Sunday evening. Officers investigated a battery case in connection with the domestic disturbance report and the alleged incident occurred between 10:30 and 10:38 Sunday night.
Civil Dispute: Police Officers investigated the report of a civil dispute in the 3600 block of Vine Street Friday afternoon at 2:07.
Underage Possession of Cereal Malt Beverage: Officers investigated two under age possession cases over the weekend. The first underage possession was reported in the 400 block of West 6th Street at 2:19 Friday morning. The second underage possession case was reported in the 700 block of West 12th Street at 12:07 Saturday morning.
Disturbances: The Hays Police Department received four disturbance reports over the weekend. Three of the reports were for noise complaints. The fourth report of a disturbance was a fight in the 400 block of West 12th Street. The alleged incident occurred between 9:35 and 9:42 Friday night. Officers also investigated an aggravated battery case in connection with the fight.
Driving Under the Influence: The Hays Police Department conducted 10 driving under the influence related stops between Friday morning and Sunday night.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays PD responded to seven motor vehicle accidents reported between Friday morning and Sunday night. Three of the accidents were reported as hit and run accidents. The first hit and run accident was reported Friday morning. The exact location of the accident is unknown but the accident occurred between Thursday evening at 8:00 and Friday morning at 11:30. The third hit and run was reported at 20th and Oak Street at 12:35 Sunday afternoon. The final hit and run was reported as an accident involving private property in the 700 block of West 12th Street Sunday at 1:37 p.m.
