Free document destruction will be offered next week to commemorate National Consumer Protection Week.
Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt has announced that his office will sponsor the service at 11 communities across the state as a way to fight identity theft.
The document destruction will be available Wednesday March 6, at the Farmers Bank & Trust in Great Bend from 10-11:30 a.m., and in Hays at the Vine Street Dillons parking lot from 1-2:30 p.m.
Consumers are asked to limit their documents to three small bags or boxes.
