Kansas Water Office: Let’s Try Again

ks water officeThe Kansas Water Office hopes that the much anticipated and debated release of water from Cedar Bluff Reservoir actually happens today.  The weather was warmer on Sunday and the forecast suggests that more melting snow will help the release that is designed to give relief to water wells in Hays. The release was delayed a week ago.

Last December, the Kansas Water Office received a written request from the City of Hays to consider a release from Cedar Bluff’s Artificial Recharge Pool.  The last release from the ARP was made the summer of 2006.
