The highlights from Thursday’s city commission meeting:
The commissioners approved rejoining the Kansas League of Municipalities for worker’s compensation coverage through the end of the year at a savings of $20 Thousand Dollars.
They heard a presentation from city Utilities Director – Bernie Kitten on the water release from Cedar Bluff.
They also unanimously approved a cost of living increase for City Mgr. Toby Dougherty’s employment contract, similar to the cost of living increase other city employees received in January. Commissioner Steward praised Dougherty for his effort and how “easy it is to work with him.”
