Just after 2:30 on Saturday afternoon, Hays Police and emergency crews were dispatched to the Taco Bell, 1730 Vine Street.  A car hit the Taco Bell restaurant building. It didn’t happen in the drive through. The driver was apparently parking at the restaurant’s front door. It appears the driver’s foot may have hit the accelerator instead of the brake. An assistant manager who answered the phone at Taco Bell told Hays Post that nobody was injured. The store manager was on the way to the scene. Passengers in the car refused treatment.  Damage was to the building facade.
