Last year in Kansas, 8 people were killed and 608 people were injured in work zone-related crashes. Nearly 90 percent of the people injured or killed in work zone crashes each year are motorists, which is why we stress work zone safety for both highway workers and motorists – it’s so important for everyone. Today begins National Work Zone Awareness Week. These KDOT employees are presented to remind us all to slow down in work zones.
