Suspected Thief Caught Returning to Scene of the Crime (Video)

A Wichita man found out that you don’t return to the scene of the crime Tuesday morning.

Lt. Scott Siemsen told Eagle News, Forty-five year old Manuel Maldonado of Wichita went into the Sams Club in Salina and was recognized by employees as the man who had gone into the store last Thursday evening and had broken into a kiosk where cell phones and tablets were sold and stole several cell phone and tablets and left the store carrying the merchandise out in a backpack taken from the store.

The value of the merchandise taken was $10,241.

Employees called police and Maldonado was stopped just a short distance away.

He was booked into the Saline County Jail on felony theft and damage to property charges. Maldonado is also wanted by authorities in McPherson and Hutchinson in connection with thefts in those communities.
