Slick roads in Trego County Wednesday night caused an accident that sent two men to the hospital. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Semi Truck driven by 41 year old Stephen Amankwaa of Aurora, Colorado was traveling westbound on I-70 when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy road conditions near mile post 119 or 7 miles west of highway 283. The truck entered the north ditch and rolled onto the driver’s side. The truck finally came to rest facing northeast. Amankwaa and 36 year old Roland Jarman of Lakewood, Colorado were transported to Trego-Lemke Memorial Hospital.
