The Fort Hays State softball team has received the No. 1 seed and will host one of the two Central Region tournament’s at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers will open against MIAA rival Emporia State in the first round. The Tigers lost 1-0 in the first title game then came back for a 7-4 victory in the second game Sunday to win their first MIAA tournament title.
Both four-team double-elimination tournament’s begin Friday and run through Sunday.
