Senator Pat Roberts held his second rural healthcare summit in Hays Monday, and says he heard about a variety of issues from healthcare professionals. The over-arching theme was an epidemic of regulations affecting not just healthcare. Roberts says the President has proposed regulatory reform, and he is working on such a bill.
Talking about healthcare reform, Roberts says Congress needs to have a contingency plan in place in case the Supreme Court votes that the bill is unconstitutional.
Following the meeting, Roberts was recognized by the EMS Association and then attended the Rotary meeting.
