The TMP-Marian boy’s golf team turned in another solid outing Monday, finishing just three shots shy of their first state championship at the 3A State tournament in Seneca.

The Monarchs combined for a 339 with Sabetha winning the 3A Championship with a 336.

Kade Megaffin finished tied for 12th with an 81 and Garrett Stoecklein was tied for 19th with an 83. Max Megaffin turned in a round of 87 and Hayden Rohr shot an 88 for the day.

Phillipsburg’s Ryan Hoover won the individual championship with a round of 74.
