Two Northwest Kansas residents were hospitalized after an accident North of Goodland Wednesday on Kansas Highway 27.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol a 2010 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by 55 year old James Alan Meyers was waiting to turn behind a truck when he was struck from behind by a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by 19 year old Jakalyn Van Allen.

Both were taken to Sherman County Medical Center in Goodland. Meyers was wearing his seat belt. Van Allen, the driver of the PT Cruiser was not wearing her seat belt.
