Landowners have until November to apply for USDA cost-share funding for conservation tree projects, through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. K-State forester Bob Atchison says removing invasive tree or shrub species is one example of the type of project funded through this program.

Atchison suggests starting the application process as soon as possible through the local Natural Resource Conservation Service Office or the district forester. The deadline is November 15.
