Several items were discussed at the Hays City Commission Work Session on Thursday. The Commission also heard budget presentations from 8 outside agencies.

The agencies included the Downtown Hays Development Corp., the Ellis County Coalition for Economic Development, the FortHaysStateUniversity, the Wild West Festival committee, the CARE Council, the Ellis County Historical Society, the Hays Sister Cities Advisory Board and the Hays Arts Council. No formal action was taken.

After budget presentations were complete, commissioners added several items to the Commission meeting scheduled for June 13th.

• Commissioners moved Contract Sewer Cleaning to the agenda of the June 13 City Commission meeting.

• Commissioners moved the Walker Mower Purchase for the Parks Department to the agenda of the June 13 City Commission meeting.

• Commissioners moved Contract Sewer Cleaning to the agenda of the June 13 City Commission meeting.

• Commissioners moved the resolution to Establish Benefit District for lots 1-24 within the Replat of Lot 2, Block 9 in the Golden Belt 8th Addition, to the agenda of the June 13 City Commission meeting.

• Commissioners moved a resolution authorizing the sale of general obligation refunding and improvement bonds to the agenda of the June 13 City Commission meeting.
