Marlene K. Dinkel, age 71, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.  She was born February 18, 1942, in Hays, Kansas, to Andrew J. and Felicitas (Hertel) Dinkel. She married Leland J. Dinkel on September 10,1962, in Ellis, Kansas. She was the Coordinator for the Senior Companion Program at FHSU from 1998 until she retired in September of 2012. She worked at St. John’s Rest Home in Victoria for 23 years, most of that time she was the Activities Director. She was a 1960 graduate of Ellis High School and has lived in Victoria since 1962. She was a member of St. Fidelis

Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was an avid supporter of her grandchildren’s ball games.

 

Survivors include her husband, Leland J. Dinkel, of the home; one son, Dale Dinkel and wife, Kris, Victoria, KS; three daughters, Karla Rohleder and husband, Gerald, Colleen Kuhn and husband, Leon, TammyDome

and husband, Stuart, all of Victoria, KS; one brother, Floyd Dinkel and wife Pat, WaKeeney, KS; one twin sister, Darlene Braun and husband LaVern, Victoria, KS; nine grandchildren, Sara Rohleder, Steven Rohleder, Dani Dinkel, Kameron Dinkel, Dylan Kuhn, Nathan Kuhn, Andrea Dome and her fiancé Brenton Hoffman, Ashley Dome and Bryan Dome; and her beloved dog, Molly,

She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant twin brothers.

Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas.

 

A vigil service will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, Kansas. Visitation is from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, at St. Fidelis
