Instead of going home after a typical business day, members of the Hays Community Theatre’s performance of “9-5” looks to be getting more than just overtime.
“It’s going to be a high energy show. In turn, the audience is going to feel that energy,” says director Brandon Smith. For six weeks at three hours a day, volunteers of the community team up to perform the Tony winning production.
“You get to see people that you know, (like the) mailman.”
The actors culminate for performances on July 11-13 at 7:00 and a Sunday July 14 matinee at 2, staging at Thomas More Prep-MarianHigh School. Tickets are between 7-8 dollars.
From the mailman, a next door neighbor or fresh faces, “People get to see something new and something different. What they haven’t seen on the stage before.”
