Stanley was born on October 24, 1927 to Art and Bessie (Ritter) Pearson in Tribune, Kansas. He was a graduate of Greeley County High School and attended Kansas State University for a short time, returning to the family farm.

Buck was a friend to many, and a stranger to no one. He spent many hours with anyone who would listen telling the history of Greeley County and stories of historical events. Buck took pride in knowing the history and living a large portion of that same history. Following the death of his father in 1956, Buck provided the labor, management and care to the family homestead that was started in the 1880’s.

He had made himself available as a Sunday School teacher at the United Methodist Church in Tribune where he was a member. He also had spent a limited time as a Little League baseball coach.

Cattle were his passion and he lived this until he was unable to care properly for them. He raised Registered Angus cattle, and was a strong and early proponent of the value of a superior herd sire. He traveled the United States to purchase quality cattle to bring back to Greeley County to improve his herd. By selling progeny to others, he also tried to improve the herds of neighbors and friends.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents, Art & Bessie, sisters, Marian and Ardris, and his brother Valdean.

In June of 1952, Stanley married Ramona Adkinson in Brownell Kansas. This union was blessed with three boys; Clint and Lisa Pearson, Scott City, Travis and Patricia Pearson, Wichita, and Lance Pearson, Lawrence. Kathleen A. Boxler Denning

Kathleen A. Boxler Denning of Littleton CO born October 6th 1939 passed away June 23rd 2017

Kathy was born in Park KS, where she went to grade school and high school and then soon after moved to Denver CO to go to cosmetology school. Kathy was the daughter of John and Leoba Kraft of Park, KS, sister to Robert Kraft of Colby, KS, Donna Haffner of Park, KS, Donald Kraft and Ronald Kraft also of Park, KS. Kathy proceeds her father, mother and brothers. Donna is her only surviving sister.

She was married to Jerome “Jerry” L. Boxler of Garden City KS on Aug 1st 1959 having four children Kelly, Karen, Kirk, and Kyle. She has four grandchildren with Jerry, Dustin Kerstiens, Sheena Kerstiens, Jeffrey Boxler and Andrew Boxler and one great granddaughter Kinlie Kerstiens. Daughter-in-laws Chelle Boxler wife of Kyle Boxler and Deana Boxler wife of Kirk Boxler, son- in-law’s Loren Kerstiens husband of Kelly and Sal Armato husband of Karen.

“Kathy” was courageous and determined, she always had such a beautiful outlook on life. Her strength and willingness showed in everything.

Her love for her family was and always will be the most important thing to her. Her contagious smile and soft spoken voice touched everyone.

She was a beautician for 48 years and she owned her on beauty shop for 13 of those years called Artistic Images.

After the death of her husband Jerry in 1995, she later in her life met Elmer K Denning also from Park, KS, who she married on May 23rd 2009. Elmer has two children Rhonda and Paul Denning, spouse of Paul Marieanne Denning, grandson’s Emmeram with wife Shelley, James Brian and wife Nora, Sean and wife Sarah, great grandchildren Olivia and Poppy.

The love she had for her brother-in-law’s and sister-in-law’s, her beautiful nieces and nephews was as pure as her soul, she cherished each and every one of them.

The love that she would give to her children’s friends was special, they became her children too. Her smile would shine every time they came around. They all knew her as “Mom”. She would greet each and every one of them with her beautiful smile, and hug them tightly as if they were her own she loved them all very much.

Kathy was very gifted with her words in a card that would make anyone cry because they came from her heart. Her special talent of sewing showed her perfection. She often would knit and paint, and most of all making people beautiful. Her hands through the years showed that she gave everything she had from her heart.

When Kathy was diagnosed with this non curable disease, she would simply do whatever the doctors would tell her, just to be able to be with her family a little longer, always knowing that every day she had she would live it to the fullest. Determined to live her life as strong as she could always loving everyone with no judgement.

The love she shared with her grandchildren was special and beautiful, they all had their special bond with her. She would always light up when she would see them, or hug them, or have the most in depth conversations with them just about life. She instilled in them what she taught her own children and that was what love is for one another, and that was and always will be “Family”.

Kathy’s faith in God was very important to her, she would say at times “just pray and ask for forgiveness or guidance he’s listening, never think you are alone”.

The last couple months of Kathy’s life were very hard on her, her body you could see she was getting tired, and weak. In and out of the hospital was not something she wanted to do or a place she wanted to be. She missed doing so many of the things she loved, like being with family or going to places she loved, or even if it was simply being able to walk around the neighborhood. Even though the disease started to progress she tried to be herself. She would always have that beautiful smile and her eyes would always sparkle.

Kathy would never say good bye, it was simply “See ya” or “See ya later”, “you be careful”. And always I love you.
