Bob L. Graham, age 83, of WaKeeney, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at his home.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, Trego Center-WaKeeney. Visitation and viewing will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home in WaKeeney.

Eloise J. ‘Frenchie’ Newell

Eloise J. “Frenchie” Newell, age 92, of Hays, Kansas passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Hays Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday, August 9, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hays with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday 6 PM – 8 PM with a combined rosary and parish vigil at 7 PM all at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

Neil F. Maune

Neil F. Maune, age 64, went to be with the Lord August 2, 2019 at his residence in McDonald, Kansas. Neil was born to Victor & Iona Maune of Washington, Missouri where he grew up and lived.

He met Shelia Sramek and married December 13, 2003.

Neil has two lovely children, Jennifer Hauther and Michael Maune, nine grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He served in the Marines 1974 – 1980 stationed state side where his fuel and electrical systems skills were used to maintain aircraft. He was honorably discharged and awarded a M-16 Rifle Expert Badge.

Most of his working years were spent with companies manufacturing and maintaining specialized equipment. The later years were spent in agronomy.

He was a loyal, gentle, honest man and very knowledgeable. His hobbies were enjoying river life, kayaking and motorcycles. He liked the challenge and was great at troubleshooting.

He’s preceded in death by parents Victor & Iona Maune and survived by wife Shelia (Sramek) Maune, daughter Jennifer Hauther (Michael), son Michael Maune (Lisa), sister Marie Filla (Harlan), brother Ronald Maune, sister Patricia Rommelman (Dave), brother Thomas Maune (Marilyn), sister Linda Overschmidt (Vern), Stanley Maune (Vicky), sister Pamela Carter, 9 grandchildren and 1great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Wesleyan Church, Bird City, KS.

Ella Mae Eisenhour

Ella Mae Eisenhour, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.

She was born on March 27, 1934 in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Erwin and Mabel Ellen Rictor Campbell. A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a retired owner and operator of the Broiler in Scott City.

On April 12, 1956 she married Clifford D. Eisenhour in Raton, New Mexico. He passed away on March 17, 2004 in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors Include Two Nephews – Curtis & Cara Hartman of Herington, Kansas, Terry Campbell of Pratt, Kansas, Four Nieces – Lori & James Hill of Corpus Christi, Texas, Sheri & Jeff Jarrett of Garden City, Kansas, Jacque & Tim Hawkins of Garden City, Kansas, Jeanette & Stephen Price of Ottawa, Kansas, Five Great Nephews, Five Great Nieces and numerous Great Great Nieces & Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband – Clifford Eisenhour, One Sister – Nancy Zipperer, One Brother – Jack Campbell and Two Nephews – Larry Campbell & Brett Eisenhour.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas.

Memorials in Lieu Of Flowers can be made out to the Scott County Shriners in care of Price & Sons Funeral Homes.

Scott Spencer Steggall

Scott Spencer Steggall, age 24, of Goodland passed away Saturday, July 13, 2019.

Scott was born July 29, 1994 to Danny Steggall and MeiLai (Bradley) Thomas in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Scott went to grade school in Colorado and then High School in Goodland.

Scott worked as a mechanic, he enjoyed working on vehicles, playing guitar and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Danny Steggall of Gypsum, CO, Adam and MeiLai Thomas of Edson, KS; fiancé, Amanda McClary; daughters, Alora and Zoey; brothers, Joseph Bradley, Dawson Glover Bradley, Casey Thomas, Ben Thomas; and his sisters, Adrianna Steggall and Morgan Thomas.

Memorial service will be Saturday, August 10, 2019 at 2 p.m. MT at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street in Goodland. Edward (Eddie) Albin

Edward (Eddie) Albin passed away August 4, 2019, at the age of 69, at the Gove County Medical Center.

Ed was born April 15, 1950, in Quinter, KS to Gene and Patricia (Nelson) Albin. He attended a one-room school house until he moved to Quinter and graduated from Quinter High School in 1968. Ed furthered his education at Goodland Vocational Technical School for Auto Mechanics. After graduation Ed worked at the Menlo and Quinter Midwest Cooperatives driving the fuel and propane trucks.

On April 22, 1972, he marred Janet Weimer, later divorced. He then later married Connie Zimmerman on June 8, 1984. They just celebrated 35 years of marriage.

Ed enjoyed farming, NASCAR, golfing, and enjoying time with his kids, grandchildren, and family.

Ed is survived by his wife Connie; two sons Chris (Rachel) Albin, Hays, Shaun (Sydney) Albin Torrance, CA and daughter Jenni (Kris) Miller, Pleasant Hill, MO; five grandchildren Samantha Albin, Bailey Albin, Jaxton Albin, Addilyn Miller and Owen Miller; his mother Pat, brothers, Steve, Rick, Randy and his three adopted sisters Nancy, Dianna and Terri; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Ed was proceeded in death by his Dad, several aunts and uncles, and his father-in-law Fabian Zimmerman.

Cremation was chosen, and private family services will take place at a later date.

Richard Lee Standley

Richard Lee Standley, 75, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019.

Richard was a devout Catholic and devoted to his faith, his family, and helping others. Richard was born in Kansas City, MO and spent his youth living Hays, Wichita, and Kansas City. He attended Thomas More Preparatory school in Hays, KS.

After graduation he moved to Omaha to pursue a degree in nursing at Creighton University. Although he never received his college degree, he was a life-long learner participating in classes in various disciplines that involved the care, support or advocacy of others.

In 1969, he married Roberta Matulka (Kramer) in Lincoln. They divorced in 1982, and Richard raised their three boys, Thad, Jeff, and Matt. Richard was a devoted father spending time as a school volunteer and grade school soccer coach. He willingly made many sacrifices in his career and life to help his boys. Richard was a 30-year government employee with roles in Animal Health, the US Post Office and for most of his career with the Veterans Administration Medical Center where he took an active role in the union.

Before joining the Veterans Administration, he spent 6 years running a professional photography business (Rich Photography). After retiring from federal service, Richard assisted customers at CVS (and Osco Drug prior to its acquisition) for 21 years. His jovial nature made him a friend to coworkers and customers.

Richard was an active member of the Cathedral of the Risen Christ parish. He volunteered in various roles including as an usher at Mass, selling SCRIP to help the parish and participating in St. Vincent de Paul society to help those in need. Richard always cared for others and willingly shared his time, talent, and treasure for the support of causes of social justice and care for others. Richard was a doting grandfather for his grandchildren Cate and Greg. He loved sending them cards and books, reading them and playing with them at the Lincoln Children’s Museum. Richard suffered a heart attack on June 18 in Lincoln. He spent his final six weeks under the excellent care of the intensive care team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora, CO. He spent his time in the hospital surrounded by the love of his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Joseph V. Standley, mother, Velma Lee Standley and sister, Jane Irsik. He is survived by sons Thad (Kimberly) Standley in Minneapolis, Jeff in Washington, D.C. and Matt in Lincoln, and by grandchildren Cate and Greg.

Robert D. Dunham

Robert D. Dunham, age 67, of Hays, Kansas died Friday, August 2, 2019, at his apartment. He was born September 9, 1951, in Lucas, Kansas to Dean Ford and Jewelene Mae (Coffman) Dunham.

He was raised in Minneapolis, Kansas and attended Minneapolis High School. He lived in Topeka before moving to the Hays area in 1974, and was a client with DSNWK. He lived a few years in the DSNWK Group Home in Victoria, then moved into Epworth Towers in Hays. He enjoyed watching TV, reading newspapers, and spending his days at the Reed Cent in Hays.

He is survived by his DSNWK family.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2019, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.

A private inurnment will be at the Highland Cemetery District 9 Cemetery in Minneapolis, Kansas at a later date.

Keith Howard Hall

Keith Howard Hall,72, a loving husband, father, and friend passed away on August 2, 2019 in his home surrounded by family.

Keith was born on July 22, 1947 in Dodge City to Howard and Vera Hall and was the youngest of two boys. He grew up on the farm in Ness County and attended Riverside School. He graduated from Bazine High School in 1965, and then attended vocational technical school in Goodland. During that time, he met the love of his life, Beverly Helzer. On May 4, 1968, they married and had two children, Tammy and Richard Hall.

Keith was a farmer and did custom swathing and baling which he retired from in 2010. He loved to fish and be outdoors, whether it was with family or friends. He had many stories to share and was willing to help anyone out that came along. Keith and Bev moved to Bazine, Kansas and still reside there to this day.

Keith was proceeded in death by his father, Howard, his mother, Vera, and his brother, Stephen Hall. He leaves behind his loving wife, Beverly Hall; daughter, Tammy (David) McDonough of Hanston; son, Richard (Monica) Hall of Bazine; 2 grandchildren, Derek (Candace) McDonough of Hays, and Nicole McDonough of Kinsley; a niece, Krista (Robert) Davis of Wichita; great-grandson, Walker; two step-great-granddaughters, Taylee and Maddie, as well as many friends. Keith will be truly missed and never forgotten.

Cremation has taken place and no service is planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Olin Cole American Legion Post No. 392 of Bazine.

Lyle Merlin Baker

Lyle Merlin Baker, 86, Hays, Kansas, passed away August 2, 2019, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born January 16,1933, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Paul and Doris (Clore) Baker. He grew up on a farm near Kendall, Kansas. He graduated from Syracuse High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University.

While in high school he met his wife, Janis Liggett. They were married July 12, 1952, at The Methodist Church in Syracuse, Kansas.

He served in the army during the Korean War. His life career was in real estate and insurance before he retire.

He was a sport enthusiast playing football and basketball in high school and football for Garden City Community College. He played baseball in the summers.

He enjoyed watching ESPN and old westerns and spending time with his family. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Baker of the home; a son Scott Baker (Karen Baker) of Argonia ; two daughters Cindy Dickey and Debra Creamer both of Hays; two grandchildren, Chelsea Dickey ( Bill Werth) of Munjor and Joshua Creamer (Phoenix Hobdell) of Hays as well as nine great-grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Doris Baker, a daughter Shelby Baker, a sister Joyce Maxey, and a grandson Jordan Schreurs.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday August 8, 2019 from 6-8 at the First Unitied Methodist church in Hays KS. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 10;00 am MST in Syracuse Kansas at the Syracuse cemetery.

Joseph Carson Saenz

Joseph Carson Saenz, 18, passed away August 4, 2019 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.

He was born December 28, 2000 in Lubbock, Texas; the son of Johnnie Saenz and Sandra Tovar. A Larned resident since 2014; he worked at Taco Bell in Larned.

He was of the Christian faith. He loved to work for himself, loved music of all kinds, loved animals, and was selfless and a great friend to have. He had the best sense of humor and the best laugh. His goal in life was to care for his family; they were a very important part of his life. He was a loving soul and will forever be missed.

Survivors include: his parents, four brothers, Timothy Gardea, Michael Saenz, Joshua Saenz and Matthew Saenz, a sister; Hannah Saenz, all of Larned and his close friend who he considered a brother, Horachio Carrasco

Kathy L. (Smith) Yunker

Kathy L. (Smith) Yunker, 71, Hays, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at HaysMed.

She was born November 15, 1947 in Agra, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Van Dewege) Smith. In 1965, she graduated from Eastern Heights High School. After moving to Hays she married Bob Yunker. They later divorced. Kathy was a cook at the Hays Good Samaritan Society and enjoyed cooking fried green tomatoes, enchiladas and bierocks for her family. She loved dogs and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her three sons; Rob Yunker and husband Aaron of Wichita, James Yunker and wife Kelli of Hays, and Jason Yunker and wife Mandie of Hays, a brother; Jack Smith and wife Shirley of Wichita, a sister; Ladean Sypher of Ottawa, a brother-in-law; Ted Bossingham of Andover, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, her dog; Reno, and seven grand-dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Harry and Ruth Smith, two sisters; Bonnie Mann and Betty Bossingham, two brothers-in-law; Chuck Sypher and Jay Mann, and her former father and mother-in-law; Martin and Lydia Yunker.

Warren W. Tindall

Warren W. Tindall, 82, died August 4, 2019, at Locust Grove Village, LaCrosse, Kansas. He was born July 12, 1937, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Elmer and Loretta (Eveliegh) Tindall.

Warren graduated from Hoisington High School in 1955.

A lifetime resident of Hoisington, he was a farmer and a stockman.

On November 29, 1959, he married Barbara A. Spanier in Garden City, Kansas.

Warren was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Hoisington Masonic Lodge #331.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Barbara A. Tindall of the home; and two sons, James “Jim” Tindall, and Gary Tindall and wife Jametta, all of rural Hoisington; sisters, Shirley Shellenberg and husband Art of Topeka, and Elma Jean Augustine and husband Kerry of Bemidji, Minnisota; a grandson, Garrett Tindall of Hoisington; and Warren’s favorite little harvest helpers, Isaac and Isiah Bruce of Wichita.

Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday- Friday now until service day at the funeral home. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place.

Graveside Service will 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at the Hoisington Cemetery, with Rev. Seong Lee and Ron Bailey presiding and masonic rites by the Hoisington Masonic Lodge #331.
