For the life of me I can not understand how Great Lakes Airlines can charge over $500 per ticket roundtrip to Denver and try to call it ‘affordable.’
The Hays City Commission is re-approving their partnership with Great Lakes. Is this is good as its ever going to get?
There’s no way a family of two or more can possibly make ‘affordable’ sense of flying to Denver with a fee of over a thousand dollars. If so, you’re value of an hour is worth well more than mine. I hope alternatives become available that actually are affordable.
A video recorded by a pair of U.S. soldiers that had just returned from Afghanistan has created a firestorm of controversy for Delta Airlines.
Delta reportedly charged U.S. soldiers returning from Afghanistan $2,800 in baggage fees.
On Tuesday a couple of the soldiers posted a video to YouTube.
Army Staff Sgt. Robert O’Hair said, “We had four bags, and Delta Air Lines only allows three bags. Anything over three bags you have to pay for, even though there’s a contract between the United States government and Delta Air Lines: When returning from Afghanistan on military orders, you’re authorized up to four bags.”
The total for the 34 soldiers was reportedly more than $2,800. O’Hair’s fourth piece of luggage was his weapons case, which he said “protect myself and Afghan citizens while I was deployed in the country.”

AllFacebook.com says,
“Last year, more Facebook users changed their status to single than in a relationship — 24 percent versus 31 percent.
That juicy tidbit counts among many that lie in this infographic on how Facebook affects our relationships, rendered by our friends at Online Dating University.
Only three out of every five users show their relationship statuses at all, and such listings appear more frequently among Facebookers in the U.S., South Africa, Iceland, the U.K. and Canada.
