NASHVILLE (AP) – Tim McGraw knew he had to record “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” the moment he played it for his wife, Faith Hill. McGraw says he played her a demo of the song and she started crying at the end. McGraw told her, “I’m going to record it and you’re going to record it with me.” He says they haven’t done that many songs together, and they only do songs they think are special to them. He says “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” was one of those songs. McGraw’s new album, “Sundown Heaven Town,” is out this week.

NASHVILLE (AP) – Merle Haggard is fortunate that in all the years he’s been touring, he’s only been in one tour bus accident. He says in 1967, his bus was on a two-lane highway with a truck heading into it and people stopped in front of them. Haggard says their choice was to take the bus into a ditch or kill a bunch of people, so they headed for the ditch. The bus ended up on its side. No one was hurt, the bus wasn’t even scratched. Haggard says they never even got a thank you from the people they saved. He’s got a new, shorter bus now, which means he can do East Coast tours. He says there are a lot of overhangs in the east that would tear the roof off his other bus.

LOS ANGELES (AP) – A film about The Doors commissioned by The Doors is finally seeing the light of day.
“Feast of Friends” was made 45 years ago but never released because of singer Jim Morrison’s legal issues in Miami.
It was shown at a few film festivals in 1969 and it circulated among Doors fans as a poor-quality bootleg.
“Feast of Friends” will be released on home video on November 11. It will include three bonus documentaries.

You may not be able to see Bon Jovi’s Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora together on the same stage anytime soon, but at least you can see them on your coffee table.
Bon Jovi: Work, a book that documents the band’s two world tours from 2010 to 2013, is now available for purchase online.
The 210-page hardcover book features both black-and-white and color images by from the New Jersey rockers’ official tour photographer, David Bergman.
You’ll see the band onstage, backstage, at home and even in the operating room, as Jon receives treatment for a knee injury.
A special section of the book features private photos personally taken by the singer.
“From the happy times to the harrowed, these images let you transcend the frame of the photograph to connect to specific moments whenever you open this book,” Jon writes in the foreword, saying that it captures “what it’s like to travel the world with our band, inviting you to be a part of the action.”
He adds, “They say every picture tells a story. David’s pictures tell our story.”
You can order the book, which costs $60, now at BonJovi.com/work.
