KFIX Rock News: Fleetwood Mac Has 2015’s Priciest Concert Ticket

fleetinIf you’re going to search ticket resale websites — the so-called “secondary market” — to snag your concert tickets this year, be prepared to shell out some big bucks to see a number of popular classic-rock stars, particularly Fleetwood Mac.

According to Forbes, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act’s continuing reunion tour with singer/keyboardist Christine McVie is commanding the highest resale ticket prices for 2015, at a whopping $307.38 per ticket, on average.

This isn’t exactly a surprise, considering that the Mac’s 2014 tour was the most expensive trek on the secondary market as well.

Also landing in the top 10 of Forbes list are U2 at #6, Bob Seger at #7 and The Who at #8.  Tickets for U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE World Tour will run you just under $256 on average on the secondary market, while tickets for Seger’s Ride Out Tour and The Who Hits 50! trek average about $252 and $251, respectively.

Further down on the tally is the Foo Fighter’s Sonic Highways Tour, which comes in at #15 with an average ticket price of just over $164.

Forbes list is based on data from ticket reseller TiqIQ.com (pr: tick-I-Q-dot-com).
