Knights Pick up Bi-District Championship

Victoria Knights logoThe Victoria Knights used an opportunistic defense and a solid rushing attack to pick up a 50-0 win over Ingalls Tuesday night in the Bi-District Round of the 8-Man 2 football playoffs.

After a fumble on Ingalls’ first offensive play the Knights drove it down inside the Bulldogs 10 yard line but couldn’t come up with a score and turned over on downs. After Ingalls turned over on downs on their next possession the Knights put together a five play 17 yard drive that resulted in a six-yard touchdown run for Bryan Dome. Dome would add two more rushing scores in the first half, including one from 68 yards as the Knights led 28-0 at halftime.

The Knights opened the third quarter with the football and marched down the field and capped off an 11 play 61 yard drive with a four-yard touchdown run from Lane Kisner, that put Victoria up 36-0. Brady Dinkel would find Tanner Hobbs on a 24-yard touchdown pass less than two minutes later to put the Knights up 44-0 after three quarter.

The final score for Victoria came with 5:24 left in the fourth quarter when Brady Dinkel found Noah Dreiling for a 12 yard score, their second connection of the game, giving the Knights the 50-0 win.

Brady Dinkel had three touchdowns through the air and Bryan Dome added three rushing touchdowns. Dinkel also pulled in three interceptions as the Knights improved to 10-0 on the season and they will take on Beloit St. Johns-Tipton next Saturday in Beloit.

St. Johns-Tipton downed Weskan 48-0 on Tuesday night.
