UNDATED (AP) – Jason Aldean is telling off the haters who disapprove of his relationship with former “American Idol” contestant Brittany Kerr. A day after Aldean posted a photo of himself, Kerr and a dog on Instagram, he posted a follow-up saying he’s sick of people judging them. He says he’s made mistakes but he’s a better person and he would not change a thing. Aldean has admitted to acting inappropriately with Kerr while still married to his wife, Jessica. He filed for divorce last year. Aldean writes he and Kerr are happy and it’s time for others to move on.

PHOENIX (AP) – The braids Willie Nelson cut off in 1983 as a show of support while Waylon Jennings pursued sobriety will be auctioned. The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix will host the auction of Jennings’ belongings on October 5. The collection is being offered by Jennings’ wife, Jessi Colter. The auction also includes a motorcycle that once belonged to Buddy Holly, the original signed contract for The Highwaymen, John Lennon’s handwritten letter to Jennings and a custom pair of cowboy boots emblazoned with an “H” for original owner Hank Williams.

Garth Brooks‘ 10-show Chicago tour stop has broken his own record for ticket sales in a single city, according to his publicist. The previous record was 162,822 tickets for dates played at the Target Center in Minneapolis in October 1998. Tickets for Chicago have surpassed that number and continue to sell here. Tickets for Brooks’ Atlanta stop go on sale today at 10am ET for $71.50 with a limit of six per person here.

NASHVILLE (AP) – The group that gives out gold and platinum records is giving a special recognition to Jason Aldean. The Recording Industry Association of America is recognizing Aldean as the top male country artist in the history of its digital gold and platinum awards. Aldean has tallied more than 21.5 million RIAA digital single certifications, which counts downloads and streaming. Aldean says it’s a huge honor that everyone on his team earned together.

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) – John Denver’s former house in Aspen, Colorado, is for sale. The Aspen Times reports John’s six-bedroom house and five-bedroom guesthouse is for sale for $10.8 million. The two buildings sit on more than seven-and-a-half acres. Denver lived in the house until his death in 1997.

NEW YORK (AP) – To say Toby Keith has made a buck or two as a country singer is an understatement. Forbes magazine puts Keith at the top of its list of top-earning country artists. Forbes estimates Keith earned $65 million in the past year and $335 million over the past six. That’s from his music sales as well as his restaurants, his endorsement deal with Ford, his Wild Shot mescal and his Show Dog record label. He just squeaks past Taylor Swift, who is second on the list with $64 million. Kenny Chesney is third with $44 million, Jason Aldean in fourth with $37 million and Luke Bryan in fifth with $34 million.
